My Art Finds a Home at The Collective Seattle!

I am so proud of myself!

This morning, I had the incredible opportunity to hang several of my prints at The Collective Seattle, a moment that felt like a major milestone in my journey as an artist. Walking into the space with my prints in hand, I was filled with a mix of excitement, pride, and a touch of nervous anticipation. There's something deeply personal about seeing your work take up space in a business where others will engage with it, interpret it, and hopefully connect with it on a meaningful level.

What a day!

I’ve hung my work in businesses before, but this time felt different. Maybe it was the significance of the location, the prestige of The Collective Seattle, or just the sheer weight of knowing that my art—my vision—was about to become part of something bigger. Either way, I knew this moment deserved to be documented.

The Process of Hanging My Prints

Hanging art is a process that requires precision, patience, and a little bit of problem-solving. It’s not as simple as just slapping a frame on a wall and calling it a day. Every decision—from placement to spacing to lighting—affects how the piece is perceived.

Making sure measurements are perfect!

I started by unpacking my prints and carefully laying them out. Each print represents a different moment in time, a different emotion captured through my lens. As I laid them side by side, I took a moment to appreciate the journey that led me to create each one. Some were taken in places I had dreamed of visiting for years, while others were spontaneous captures that turned into something unexpectedly powerful.

Preparation is the key to success.

The Feeling of Seeing It All Come Together

After hours of positioning, adjusting, and stepping back to take it all in, I finally had that moment. The moment when everything clicked.

Standing there, looking at my work arranged on the walls, I felt a deep sense of accomplishment. These weren’t just photos—these were pieces of my life, my experiences, my perspective on the world. And now, they were here, in a space where others could see them, interpret them, and maybe even be inspired by them.

It’s a strange but incredible feeling to realize that something you created could mean something to a total stranger. Maybe they’ll see a print and be reminded of a place they once visited, a memory they hold dear. Maybe they’ll feel an emotional connection to a shot in a way I never expected. That’s the beauty of art—it speaks to people in different ways, often in ways the artist never intended.

Why This Moment Matters

This experience is a reminder of how far I’ve come, not just as an artist, but as a person. I remember a time when I was just capturing moments for myself, with no thought of ever displaying them publicly. But over time, I learned that my art wasn’t just for me—it was for others, too.

Art has the power to bring people together, to make them feel something, to challenge perspectives. And being able to contribute to that—especially in a place like The Collective Seattle—is something I don’t take for granted.

This is why it matters!

What’s Next?

This is just the beginning. I have so many ideas and so much more to share, and I can’t wait for what’s ahead. If you’re in Seattle, I highly encourage you to stop by The Collective Seattle and experience the space for yourself. Seeing art in person is a completely different experience than scrolling through it on a screen. There’s a depth, a presence, an energy that you can only fully appreciate when you’re standing in front of it.

Thank you to everyone who has supported me on this journey. Whether you’ve followed my work from the beginning or you’re just now discovering it, I appreciate you. Here’s to more moments like this, more opportunities to create, and more chances to share art with the world.

And if you do visit The Collective Seattle, let me know! I’d love to hear what you think and which prints speak to you the most.

I don't profess to know much about the art world. I know I love your work. I am also fascinated about the fact that you do the installs personally. Is that a standard or are you going above and beyond? Regardless, you rock!

This is unbelievable, my friend, and I’m beyond proud of you for making it happen. As soon as I’m back in Seattle at the end of March, I’ll check out the exhibition. Too bad you two will be in Europe then. See you soon I’m already hyped for the next milestones on your incredible journey as an artist!
